Tutorial - 'Life is beautiful' card

Hi all,

Last Saturday, I was enjoying blissful weather in my backyard. I was swinging on a swing while playing with crafty imagination in my mind. That beautiful atmosphere made me create something beautiful. And today, I am going to share with you all what I have created over the weekend. I hope you all will love it.

TUTORIAL: Hip rose bud

Hi all,

I always get fascinated with Wildorchid's flowers. I love their rose buds with bulky base. So, I attempted to make some buds by my own and it turned out to be pretty good. You can check my YouTube video for a complete tutorial. Also, I have attached a template for the small 5 petal shape. Feel free to download.

And, as always, if you have any comment/suggestion/question then feel free to mention in comment box.

http://addictedtostamps-challenge.blogspot.com/

2. Simon says stamp: Anything goes
http://www.simonsaysstampblog.com/wednesdaychallenge/

3. Inkspirational challenge: Challenge 142 - Designer's choice - Oldie but goodie
http://inkspirationalchallenges.blogspot.in/2017/08/challenge-142-designers-choice-oldie.html

4. Hand Stamped Sentimets: HSS sketch challenge #271
http://handstampedsentiments.blogspot.ca/

Materials Used:

1. Two 8.5" X 11" white cardstocks
2. One 8.5" X 11" Brown cardstocks
3. Sizzix tag and tag border die cuts
4. Inkadinkado clear stamps (used this stamp from my old stash)
5. Darice embossing plate
6. Satin ribbon
7. Foam pads
9. Tacky glue

Instructions:

Cut 3 pieces of white cardstocks into 5" X 6 1.4" (top layer), 5 1/2" X 6 X 3/4" (bottom or base layer), 5 1/2" X 7 1/4" scored at 1/2" along 7 1/4" (foldout to attach base layer)
Cut 1 piece of brown cardstock into 5 1/4" X 6 1/2" (middle layer)

2. Align Sizzix tag border and tag die cut in the center of the front white cardstock and pass through the die cut machine.

3. Emboss the front white cardstock using Darice embossing pad. Also die cut brown cardstock using tag border die cut

4. Cut 8 pieces of foam pads into around 1" X 3/4" size. Here, I am using Scotch double sided foam tape, 5 petal handmade rose flowers, clear stamps which I had in my stash for long time, Memento ink and handmade ribbon bow.

I added some glittery accent to my rose flowers using "g Studio" clear glitter

5. Now align piece of base cardstock properly on scored area of other white base cardstock and glue carefully.

6.  Attach 4 pieces of foam pad to brown cardstock as shown in picture.

7. Align and glue brown cardstock properly in the center of main base white foldout leaving equal margin along all sides.

8. Glue remaining 4 foam pads on front white cardstock as shown in image.

9. Align and glue white front cardstock properly in the center of brown cardstock leaving equal margin along all sides. Attach 2 to 3 layers of Soctch foam tape pieces to brown die cut to give raised elevation. Attach 2 pieces of Scotch double sided foam tape to white tag die cut. Place brown and white die cut pieces in the center of the card.

Also., I stamped a sentiment on white cardstock die cut before placing in the center of the card. Arrange flowers and ribbon bow as shown in picture.

I hope you got the instructions and if you have any question then feel free to ask me.

Love
Juili
